Tanushree Dutta born on 19 March 1985 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. She is 5ft 7in tall Indian Bollywood film actress. She is the crown holder of Femina Miss India Universe 2004 replacing Nikita Anand. She was also crowned Miss Confidence and Miss Beautiful Smile. She went to participate in Miss Universe 2004 pageant held in Quito, Ecuador and ended up amongst the 10 ten finalists. Her Miss India title replaced by Amrtita Thapar in 2005.

She started her film career with Hindi film Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Chocolate in 2005.

Her latest Bollywood release is an erotic thriller Apartment directed by Jag Mundhra where she is performing as Preeti along with Anupam Kher, Neetu Chandra and Rohit Roy.

Tanushree Dutta was born and raised in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand state (then Bihar), and did her graduation in commerce from Brihan Maharashtra COllege of Commerce in Pune, Maharashtra. She is Bengali.
She won the Femina Miss India title in 2004, and placed among the top ten in the Miss Universe 2004 pageant held in Quito, Ecuador.
She debuted in Bollywood in 2005. She worked on two films simultaneously Chocolate and Aashiq Banaya Apne. Chocolate was intended to be her debut film, however its release was preceded by Aashiq Banaya Apne'.
