Princess Puffysleeves and Team Star

We love the little shit.

We thought we were going to wind up hating him, but how can you not love a tiny little pocketgay with jacked-up hair, a 14-inch waist, and a predilection for pronouncing everything "fierce" through his nose?

Sure, we wouldn't want to be stuck in an elevator with Princess, but so far, this season is seriously lacking in the wacky department and we're just happy that SOMEONE among these boring professionals is willing to embrace the experience and have fun with it.

To top it off, he's shown himself to be pretty talented, too. He was, after all, the leader of a team which, in our opinion, should have won this week. Granted, it sounds like he just declared himself the leader and Kit and Jack just went along with it, but still.

This? Really is fierce.

Beautiful proportions, perfectly executed and fantastic choice of fabrics.

Going black and white was an inspired choice. Otherwise, all the stripes and patterns would never have worked together. And we love the take on the men's tie. Interpretive, not literal.

We like, but not as much as the previous one.

The silhouette is too similar and it lacks the visual impact. It's good; it's just not as "wow" as the previous piece.

Plus, we're not crazy about the blouse. Too puffy and high-collared to go with a jacket.

Another one to like, which surprises us because if you asked us what we thought of sack dresses over tights, we'd immediately think of the Olsen twins - and that is most decidedly NOT a compliment.

Again, we love the proportions and the fabric choice. Love that neckline, which makes the look.

By the way, in case you were wondering, that's upholstery fringe on the neckline. We have no idea where they used pleather in this collection.

We like the pocket detail too. The only thing we don't like are the sleeves. Little cap sleeves would've worked better.

It really was a great little collection that had a sense of cohesion to it. It showed an intellectual approach and a thought process. It wasn't for every woman out there, but then again, not all fashion should be. It was, to use yet another Nina-ism, truly fashion forward. We think the only reason the judges didn't give it more consideration was because it failed somewhat on the requirements of the challenge. One can't reasonably look at this collection and think of zoot suits, fringe and pleather.

"Our team is pretty fierce, so I called everyone Team Star. Team Star is like hot, like star, like celebrity."

Come on, that's ADORABLE.
